Editorial Standards

These are the rules we hold ourselves to on every page of ImBuyingThis.

Honesty over hype

• We never claim to have personally tested a product unless we actually have.
• Every product page includes limitations ("What to Know") and an explicit "Skip It If" — no product is presented as perfect.
• We never fabricate prices, discounts, stock levels, star ratings or review counts.

Selection independence

• Products are chosen for usefulness, design, cleverness, gift-worthiness or sheer delight — never for commission rate.
• No brand can buy a drop slot. Sponsored placements, if ever introduced, will be labeled unmistakably.

Accuracy and corrections

• Prices display only with a verification date. Stale or unknown prices become "check current price" links.
• Factual errors are corrected promptly when reported, and material corrections are noted on the page.

Media

• We only publish imagery we have rights to use. Where product imagery is pending, we show a clearly branded placeholder rather than lifting a retailer's photos.
